There is a new update on Casey Kenney and the former UFC bantamweight's criminal charges. He was arrested last month following allegations of domestic violence and faces numerous charges, which include kidnapping and aggravated assault. Kenney was arrested and duly charged after a police investigation.
According to a recent report by MMA Fighting, Kenney has now been released on a $10,000 bond after pleading not guilty to several charges at an arraignment hearing in Maricopa County Court in Arizona last week. The ex-UFC star's next court date includes a pre-trial conference on Oct.15, followed by a trial date set for Jan. 25, 2025.
Kenney currently faces multiple criminal charges, including a class 2 felony and several misdemeanors. However, based on his recent hearing, the court found no probable cause for an aggravated assault charge for impeding the victim's breathing.

As he awaits trial, the court also outlined some conditions that must be met for his continued release. This includes not contacting the alleged victim at all or the arresting officers and no possession or use of drugs/alcohol or firearms. He must also agree to fingerprinting and DNA testing as and when required.
Kenney was removed from the UFC roster following his arrest last month. He hadn't competed since his split decision loss to Song Yadong at UFC 265 in 2021.
When Megan Anderson slammed Casey Kenney for his degrading comments about her in 2021
In 2021, Casey Kenney joined Sean O'Malley and his coach, Tim Welch, on the TimboSugarShow podcast, where the three discussed a variety of topics. Kenney was booked to face Dominick Cruz in a bantamweight clash at UFC 259, the same card on which Megan Anderson was scheduled to fight Amanda Nunes.
During the show, Welch asked Kenney if he would ever be sexually interested in Anderson. Kenney replied:
“Probably not, man... Well, I mean if it came down to it and it was like five am or four; she’s a five am’er, four am’er. Just us two hanging out... I’ll be like, ‘F**k it. Let’s do it."
After an MMA-based X handle posted a clip of Kenney's statements, Anderson reposted the video and slammed him for degrading her with his comments. Anderson wrote:
“I guess MMA is a line of work where you can publicly talk about whether you'd have sex with a coworker in an utterly degrading way and face zero consequences. Disgusting behavior and it's unfortunate that he'll be fighting on my card in March."
