Uriah Hall recently claimed that the idea of fighting Jake Paul in the squared circle remains his ultimate objective.
The former UFC middleweight contender announced his retirement from MMA in August 2022 after a career that spanned over 17 years. It was later announced that Hall would be the latest entrant to crossover from MMA to boxing against former American football player Le'Veon Bell on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva event on October 29.
Speaking with The Schmo in a recent interview following an open workout for his boxing debut, Hall shed light on how his friends, family and coaches helped him overcome psychological obstacles and return to fighting:

"My coaches, my friends, my family, they stayed consistent on me....and we don't talk about it a lot but depression is a real thing. Everybody is going through it. And I fell deep into it and I just remember at a point I didn't want to come out of it."
He further added that the possibility of fighting Jake Paul one day in the future is what keeps him motivated:
"Absolutely. That's my train of thought. It's what got me out of bed and I asked my coaches, 'Is there a potential chance of fighting this dude?' He was like,'Yeah!' I'm like,' Alright. I'll get out of bed for it."

Uriah Hall warns Jake Paul ahead of his fight against Anderson Silva
Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring against Anderson Silva at Glendale Arena in Glendale, Arizona on October 29. Paul was last seen inside the squared circle in a rematch against Tyron Woodley back in December 2021, in an event billed as ''Leave No Doubt.''
The undefeated YouTuber-turned-pugilist will face his biggest test of his boxing career so far as he stands across the ring against the longest reigning middleweight champion in UFC history.
Uriah Hall, who will also be making his boxing debut at the same event, has warned 'The Problem Child' of Silva's diverse skillsets in a recent interview with FightHype:
"That dude [Anderson Silva] he's got like... I call it Blackletic. He's good. And you know the thing with Anderson, he's been doing this a long time. He's a G. We're going to see how Jake Paul goes out there and what he can do. I'm sure he's going to move his feet, possibly throw some bombs, but Anderson, he's patient and he will time you and take you out."
