ONE two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty is remarkably calm before the storm.
The British superstar is on the heels of headling ONE 168: Denver to defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against former foe and champion, Superlek Kiatmoo9 on Sept. 6.
The historic return to the US would have anyone in Haggerty's shoes feeling apprehensive about performing on the international stage, but not 'The General.'
Speaking to Inside Fighting this week, the 27-year-old standout said:

"I've got no pressure. I'm just very thankful and very honored that they've chosen me to be the main event."
Whether it's at flyweight or bantamweight, Haggerty continues to stand as one of the most resilient and durable world champions in the division. He may be just 4-0 at 145 pounds, but he's defeated four of the toughest guys on the roster, including Felipe Lobo and former titleholder Nong-O Hama.
Moreover, he's only been stopped once by the reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai kingpin Rodtang Jitmuangnon. It's been five years since and no one has been close to knocking him out.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
"They're going to have an explosive fight" - Jonathan Haggerty promises to put on an absolute barnburner with bantamweight rival Superlek Kiatmoo9 on Sept. 6
Jonathan Haggerty is ready to raise hell this Friday with another crowd-pleasing barnburner at ONE 168: Denver.
The opportunity to fight on the biggest international stage in the world doesn't come very often. Nor does a fight between two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
Because of this fact, Haggerty is so excited to put on a thrilling performance that will keep the fans on the edge of their seats the entire time. Speaking to ONE, he said:
"They're [the fans] going to have an explosive fight. They're going to have an exciting night. I'm excited for the fans just to see me and Superlek come together."
