Joe Rogan recently shared some footage of an alleged UFO sighting on social media and questioned how it would take for an extraterrestrial alien to come on his show as a guest. However, it didn't take long for social media users to fact-check the podcaster's post and seemingly debunk the footage.
In an X post, Rogan reshared a video of the alleged UFO sighting and jokingly asked when an "alien" would sit down with him for a conversation on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. He wrote:
"What episode # will an alien be on?"

While Rogan's clip may have gotten some of his followers hyped up, the clip was soon hit with an X Community Note, connecting the mysterious lights in the video to Elon Musk's Starlink program.
X user @AJamesMcCarthy soon shared a post addressing Rogan's video and claimed that the clip was actually showing viewers the Falcon 9 rocket's "upper stage" and wrote:
"I happened to catch this EXACT same object. This was April 12, in Arizona. It’s the deorbit burn from Starlink 6-49. The upper stage of the Falcon 9 rocket. Here’s how it looks through a telescope!"
In a follow-up post, he addressed Rogan's clip shared on Instagram and called for other social media platforms to enable a Community Notes feature as well. He wrote:
"I just saw this video posted by @joerogan a few minutes ago on Instagram. It’s a couple guys freaking out about this UFO. Pretty cool video. Except… I caught the same exact thing. See my video and explanation in the reply. Other platforms *desperately* need community notes."
Joe Rogan gets honest about Elon Musk's stance on UFO sightings
Joe Rogan recently shared his thoughts on Elon Musk's take on UFOs and extraterrestrial sightings. Musk has historically treated the subject of UFOs with extra care and has questioned the authenticity of such objects flying in our skies.
Addressing Musk's stance on UFOs on the JRE podcast (#2244), Rogan linked the billionaire's hesitancy to his multi-billion dollar SpaceX company and said:
"Elon is oddly sly about this stuff [believing in UFOs and all]. You know, he outwardly dismisses UFOs. He says, 'Well, if they are there, they are very subtle'. I just feel like with his contracts with NASA and being involved in SpaceX, he can't talk crazy [about his stance on UFOs]. He can talk so much crazy about other stuff, but when it's [about] this, you know, f**king multi- multi-billion dollar company that he runs [SpaceX], I don't think he can f**k around."
