Victor Ortiz's movies and TV shows consist of a varied list of spectacles, including a stint on season 16 of 'Dancing with the Stars.' The season premiered on March 18, 2013, with 'Vicious' paired up with Linsday Arnold, a professional Latin and ballroom dancer who competed in 'So You Think You Can Dance.'

Despite Ortiz's lack of formal dancing experience, the pair managed to survive six weeks on the show. Unfortunately, they progressed no further and were eliminated, with Ortiz yet to return to the dance competition.

For now, the boxer, who is a former WBC welterweight champion, is focused on returning to the world of 'The Sweet Science.' While he hasn't taken part in a professional boxing match since 2022, 'Vicious' is currently scheduled to face the unremarkable Rodrigo Coria this Saturday.

The two men will lock horns on the Floyd Mayweather vs. John Gotti III rematch card. However, their bout will not be contested under professional rules. Instead, they will clash in an exhibition boxing match for eight three-minute rounds. Ortiz's decision to remain active likely hints at more exhibition bouts in the future.

A return to professional boxing, though, seems unlikely. At 37 years old, with a 1-1-1 record in his last three fights since 2018, he is well past his prime and won't be getting any better than he already is. Using his name value in exhibition bouts against overmatched opponents appears to be his path moving forward.

Victor Ortiz's Hollywood history

Besides 'Dancing with the Stars,' Victor Ortiz has appeared in several other forms of media. He played the character Mars in 'The Expendables,' which featured a rich cast of combat sports figures. He also played Ramone in the sports drama film 'Southpaw.'

"By this point in time I got offered a movie role by Sylvester Stallone, 'Expendables 3.' So then that's how that took place. I ended up doing a movie, I became an actor in the Hollywood, and man, that's just blessings on blessings."

'Once Upon a Time in Venice' also featured Ortiz as Chewy. Unfortunately, that's the extent of his movie work. He has, though, been on three TV shows, including 'The Eric Andre Show,' where he played himself, and 'Hawaii Five-0' and 'Ray Donovan,' where he played Juan Diego and Whittaker, respectively.
