Current number fourth-ranked ONE bantamweight Muay Thai contender Nabil Anane received a very rude welcome to ONE Championship courtesy of two-sport and two-division world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his debut.
Superlek gifted Anane a first-round knockout loss in June 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 22, which started his promotional journey on the wrong foot.
But this did not deter the 20-year-old rising star, as he used that setback to turn his fortunes around and sweep his next four fights. The world's largest martial arts organization documented Anane's incredible comeback story in a recent Instagram video.

The Team Mehdi Zatout athlete has piled up an impressive four-fight win streak and defeated the likes of Nakrob Fairtex (via second-round knockout in September 2023), Muangthai PK Saenchai (via unanimous decision in December 2023), Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai (via second-round knockout in July 2024), and Felipe Lobo (via unanimous decision in August 2024).
These triumphs have helped him crack a spot in the division's top-five rankings.
Nabil Anane to face veteran Soe Lin Oo on Sept. 27 at ONE Friday Fights 81
Carrying his hot four-fight win streak, the Algerian-Thai rising star will be looking to extend his win streak to five as he takes on the battle-tested Soe Lin Oo in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout on Sept. 27 as part of the stacked ONE Friday Fight 81 card inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Apart from tallying his fifth win under the promotion, Anane also intends to be the first fighter to hand the 'Man of Steel' his first loss in ONE Championship.
