Unable to match his taller opponent from the outside, Soe Lin Oo was forced to engage in close quarters in the opening round. Every attempt to step into Anane's range resulted in punishing knees and strikes from the towering striker.

The action unfolded similarly throughout, with ‘Man of Steel' relentlessly trying to close the distance, only to be met by a barrage of blows from Anane.

In the final round, the Thai-Algerian added high kicks to his arsenal, further asserting his dominance. By the final bell, Anane had earned a decisive unanimous decision, improving his record to 38-5.

This victory also propelled Anane into the No. 5 spot in the bantamweight Muay Thai rankings.

Nabil Anane battles for interim crown at ONE 170

Looking ahead, Nabil Anane is set to duke it out with Nico Carrillo for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world championship on Jan. 24 at ONE 170, taking place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The winner will go on to challenge lineal king Superlek Kiatmoo9 in a world title unification bout at ONE 172 on March 23.

Anane has been hunting a rematch with Superlek since suffering a knockout loss to the Thai superstar in June 2023.

By claiming the interim title later this month, Anane will not only fulfill his desire for revenge but also position himself as the rightful champion of the weight class.
