Teenage Muay Thai phenom Johan Ghazali did not disappoint during his U.S. primetime debut in December 2023 at ONE Fight Night 17 against former WBC champion Edgar Tabares.
The two squared off inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, in a catchweight bout. Ghazali won by knockout in the first round to extend his unbeaten run to five.

The Malaysian-American rising star brought out a deadly combo of a right cross-left hook body shot-straight punch to wrap up the match and beat the former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title challenger.
This incredible victory has introduced 'Jojo' to the global audience, and his stock has significantly gone up. Additionally, he added another highlight-reel knockout to his resume.
Johan Ghazali is scheduled to face Josue Cruz at ONE 168: Denver on September 6
Ghazali is coming off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of veteran contender Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat in June 2024 at ONE 167. It was his first defeat under the world's largest martial arts organization since arriving in February 2023.
But the Rentap Muaythai Gym representative is looking to put that setback behind him and return to the winner's circle against Josue Cruz on September 6 at ONE 168: Denver card in their scheduled flyweight Muay Thai clash inside the Ball Arena in Colorado.
The 17-year-old athlete aims to tally his sixth win under the promotion and add to Cruz's woes by keeping him winless.
ONE 168: Denver will transpire from the Ball Arena in U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
