Former ONE flyweight MMA world champion Adriano Moraes earned the biggest win of his career with a knockout of MMA icon Demetrious Johnson at ONE on TNT I in April 2021, defending the 135-pound MMA crown in the process.
In one of the year's most anticipated fights, 'Mikinho' shocked the world when he handed Johnson his first defeat under the ONE banner after landing a knee strike midway through the second round.

The Brazilian great fought Johnson again in August 2022 and May 2023, with the American legend exacting his poetic revenge in the rematch to become the 135-pound MMA king. Johnson emerged with the unanimous decision win in the trilogy bout to close out their rivalry.
Moraes will face another former foe in Filipino spitfire Danny Kingad at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Adriano Moraes is entering his rematch with Danny Kingad at ONE 169 with the extra motivation of making his newborn daughter, Lila, proud.
In a recent interview with the world's largest martial arts promotion, the top-ranked ONE flyweight MMA fighter stated:
"I am definitely more motivated. I want to set an example. I want to show her that, with a lot of love and dedication, everything we do will work out. I want her to be proud of her father, of everything I have built and will continue to build for our family."
