UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira celebrated his 37th birthday on July 7 in style, surrounded by friends and fellow fighters in New York City. Social media is abuzz with glimpses of Pereira's birthday bash.
In a video shared by middleweight contender Paulo 'The Eraser' Costa, Pereira is seen posing with a goofy grin next to the iconic moai statue at a New York museum. The normally stoic fighter even cracked a playful jab at the statue's somber expression, saying:
"Why so serious? I don't understand it."

The festivities culminated at a club, where Pereira was joined by popular UFC interviewer Nina-Marie Daniele and light heavyweight legend Glover Teixeira. The trio were spotted dancing and having a blast in another clip making the rounds online.
Alex Pereira considering a switch to boxing
UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has sparked discussions about a potential move to boxing after a social media exchange with heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua.
Following his title defense win against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303, former heavyweight champion Joshua encouraged Pereira to make a boxing debut.
"Alex Pereira should make a boxing debut one day."
Pereira, recognizing his age (37) might limit a full boxing career, requested advice on potential opponents.
"I'm honored you think so. It's always been my dream, I'm 37 I cannot make a career in it so who do you recommend I fight?"
Joshua's response hinted at possibilities and suggested Pereira contact his management team.
