ONE 167 was successfully held on June 7 to a sold-out Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, and left fans with explosive matches to bask in even after the battlesmoke cleared.

It was capped by another tightly fought contest between top Thai fighters Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Jo Nattawut for the former's ONE feathetweight Muay Thai world title.

The two went back-and-forth in a torrid pace again, like their razor-thin kickboxing clash back in October, with Tawanchai winning by majority decision to retain his title.

ONE 167 also featured the slambang catchweight Muay Thai showdown between Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon and vetaran Denis Puric, the payback win of Mikey Musumeci over Brazilian rival Gabriel Sousa as well as the impressive MMA debut win of ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo.

ONE eyeing trilogy fight between Tawanchai and Nattawut after another humdinger of a match at ONE 167

So competitive was the rematch between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Jo Nattawut at ONE 167 on June 7 that a trilogy fight is being eyed between them later this year, possibly in ONE Championship's show in the United States.

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong shared the possibility of such a fight during the post-event press conference for the well-received event, highligting how the contest was so tightly fought that the outcome could have gone either, and meriting a trilogy fight.

The ONE executive said:

"I thought Jo Nattawut won. It was a very close fight, very close. I thought Jo did enough to win. For me, it would have gone to damage, and Tawanchai had more damage on him than Jo did. But, I want to do a rematch in Atlanta. That's the home of where Jo Nattawut is. That would be amazing."

ONE Championship is slated to play Atlanta on Nov. 8, its second live on-ground event in the U.S. this year after ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.

Meanwhile, Tawanchai and Nattawut first met in October last year in a featherweight kickboxing match, where the former hacked out a unanimous decision win but not after going through the wringer.
