Allycia Hellen Rodrigues received unexpected training help from her young son.

The last time Rodrigues stepped into the Circle was in August 2020. She was making her promotional debut with hopes of emerging as a future superstar against Stamp Fairtex. The Brazilian won by split decision to become the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion.

After defeating Stamp nearly three years ago, Rodrigues took time away from fighting when she became pregnant. Now that her son is happy and healthy, the 24-year-old plans to return against Janet Todd on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

The Brazilian world champion recently recorded a training video with her son joining in by jumping on her stomach. The adorable scene was posted on Instagram with the caption:

“He helps in any way he can 😂❤️”

While Rodrigues was away, Todd became the face of the division. ‘JT’ made her promotional debut in February 2019, losing to Stamp by unanimous decision. The American has not tasted defeat since, winning all her matches on her way to a kickboxing world title and a unanimous decision win against Lara Fernandez for the interim Muay Thai world title.

Before taking time off for her son, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues showcased superstar potential with elite Muay Thai skills at a young age. Although Rodrigues has looked phenomenal in training videos, it’ll be intriguing to see if the 24-year-old can pick up where she left off.

Regardless of the outcome, Rodrigues is thrilled to be fighting in ONE Championship again. She posted on Instagram several days ago with the caption saying:

“Só happy and excited to be doing what i love. Im coming @onechampionship”

ONE Fight Night 8 will feature two other world title matches, as Anatoly Malykhin and Arjan Bhullar are set to unify the heavyweight throne and Rodtang Jitmuangnon attempts to claim a world title in a second sport when he challenges Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the strap.

The event can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
