ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues was recently seen working up a sweat to prepare for her future showdown with fiery double-champion Janet Todd.
Training at the famed Phuket Fight Club in Chalong, Thailand, the mother-of-one is seen working on all aspects of Muay Thai, including push kicks, body kicks, knees, and elbows. ONE Championship released footage of her drills with the caption:
“Putting in the work 😤 @allycia_phuketfightclub #ONEChampionship #MartialArts #MuayThai”

The Brazilian superstar will make her anticipated return to the circle on March 25 to defend her undisputed world title against American superstar Janet Todd at ONE Fight Night 8: Bhullar vs. Malykhin.
As fans remember, their original showdown on December 2 had to be rescheduled as Janet Todd tested positive for COVID-19 at the eleventh hour. Despite the cancelation, there’s no doubt Rodrigues is taking full advantage of the extra time she has available to prepare for their upcoming unification bout.
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues hasn’t fought in over two years since giving birth to her son back in September 2021. She will be accomplishing a feat similar to ONE atomweight queen Angela Lee if she defends her title successfully. Lee also defended her title against Stamp Fairtex after taking a hiatus from the circle to give birth to her daughter Ava in April 2021.
“Starting from scratch is not easy” - Allycia Hellen Rodrigues talks about the difficulties
It took some time for Allycia Hellen Rodrigues to find her groove again after focusing most of her time on motherhood.
As many athlete moms can tell you, it’s challenging to get back into physical shape after the body has gone through a lot of physiological changes. Even time away from the competition has had an impact on their mindsets. As Rodrigues revealed in a past interview, you’re not only starting from scratch physically but also mentally as well. The 24-year-old Brazilian told ONE:
“Starting over from scratch is not easy because the body changes with pregnancy, but now I feel good again to compete. I’ve been out for a while, but you can expect the best of me. I’m very anxious because I haven’t fought in a long time, but I’m training hard, and I’m very confident. I trust in my team, in my training, and especially in myself.”
