Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is nearing peak form ahead of her fight against Janet Todd.
In August 2020, Rodrigues made her ONE Championship debut against Stamp Fairtex. The young Brazilian warrior emerged victorious with a split decision to become the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion. Since then, she has been inactive in the circle as she took time off to have her first child.
After COVID postponed her fight in December 2022, the time for Rodrigues to return is quickly approaching. On March 24, the atomweight Muay Thai queen looks to regain undisputed status at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, which can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
The 24-year-old recently posted a training video on Instagram with the caption:

“Less than 3 weeks to my return to the ring looking forward to it you can buy the ticket on the website link in my bio👆🏼@infightstyle 🥊”
While Rodrigues was on maternity leave, Todd took advantage of the opportunity presented to her. The 37-year-old American captured the ONE interim atomweight world championship by defeating Lara Fernandez at ONE 159. The reigning atomweight kickboxing world champion is now looking to become an undisputed two-sport queen with a win at ONE Fight Night 8.

Fans praise Allycia Hellen Rodrigues ahead of her return to the circle
Returning to fighting after having a child is a difficult task that Allycia Hellen Rodrigues needs to overcome. It also doesn’t help that ring rust could play a factor after being away for nearly three years. When Rodrigues posted her latest training video, fans offered words of encouragement in the comments section:
“Amazingly fit and strong 👊🏻”
“You look so fit and ready to go🔥🔥🔥 good luck in your match up”
“Good luck but no matter if win or lose you are already much more impressive than your opponent. Coming back to the ring in that shape after pregnancy is very impressive.”
“Excited to see you back @allycia_phuketfightclub 👏👏🙌 Chok Dee ka ❤️”
“Looking forward to his comeback 🔥🔥🙏🏼”
Before signing with ONE, Rodrigues held a lifetime Muay Thai record of 30-6. The 24-year-old Brazilian trains at the well-known Phuket Fight Club, where she’s evolved into a world champion. If the reigning atomweight Muay Thai world champion can return as the same fighter, she has an opportunity to become the best female striker on the ONE roster.
