ONE strawweight MMA star Jarred Brooks gave everyone a reminder of why taunting a wrestler is a recipe for disaster in his promotional debut back in November 2021 at ONE: NextGen III against Filipino star Lito Adiwang.
'Thunder Kid' taunted him early on in the contest after landing some big shots, but Brooks did not take to it kindly as he locked in an arm triangle choke in round two for the submission victory.

This would kickstart a four-fight winning streak that culminated in him claiming the ONE strawweight MMA world championship against Joshua Pacio during their highly acclaimed contest in December 2022, at ONE 164.
However, 'The Monkey God' would lose it back to 'The Passion' during their rematch at ONE 166 this past March via disqualification after an unfortunate slam from Brooks that dropped Pacio on his neck.
Jarred Brooks promises new side to him in upcoming interim title tilt
As Pacio recuperates from his injuries, ONE will crown an interim strawweight MMA world champ at ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with Brooks on one side of the Circle.
Facing him then will be third-ranked strawweight MMA star Gustavo Balart and Brooks promised fans that they will see the best version of him.
Jarred Brooks recently told Sportskeeda MMA:
"This is my chance to right my mistakes from the past fight. I've said this in a couple of interviews and yeah, this is gonna be a new Monkey God. Everything much better and so on. So yeah, the evolution is gonna be there for sure."
ONE Fight Night 24 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
