Looks like Christmas came early for Jamahal Hill. During the post-event press conference at UFC 282, Dana White confirmed that a light heavyweight title fight between the No.2-ranked Glover Teixeira and No.7-ranked Hill has been slated for UFC 283.
The impromptu decision came in the wake of the UFC 282 light heavyweight title clash between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev ending in a split-decision draw.
Jamahal Hill is over the moon with the surprise title shot and shared his joy in a recent Instagram post. Hill promised to bring the light heavyweight gold to Grand Rapids, Michigan in six weeks:

Jamahal Hill's best UFC wins
Jamahal Hill has been on a tear lately. The UFC fighter is currently on a three-fight win streak. Arguably, his most notable win came against former title challenger Thiago Santos.
At UFC on ESPN 40, the American clinched a fourth-round TKO victory over 'Marreta'. The 31-year-old also holds a second-round TKO win against former interim light heavyweight title challenger Ovince St. Preux.

Hill's sole MMA loss came in a first-round knockout defeat to Paul Craig at UFC 263. He holds an enviable pro-MMA record of 11 wins against one loss and one no-contest.
