After being crowned double-champion, Anatoly Malykhin continued with the fun and games backstage at ONE on Prime Video 5, by tipping his hat off to Kade Rutotolo with a friendly takedown attempt.

The teenage BJJ wizard Kade Ruotolo successfully defended his ONE lightweight submission grappling world title against former IBJJF world champion Matheus Gabriel, and the Russian heavyweight for one, couldn’t wait to offer his congratulations in Malykhin fashion.

Hiding patiently behind a door, Malykhin waited until Kade was in sight to try to sneak in a single-leg takedown as the BJJ star was exiting the stadium with his 26 lbs belt.

Kade Ruotolo didn’t let the victory slip away in his first world title defense of his career.

He gave fans an entertaining grappling match with body slams, multiple near finishes, and acrobatic techniques to engage his opponent and liven up the Filipino-based crowd.

Matheus Gabriel defended Kade’s attacks well from guard and was aggressive from the onset. However, defending became the only option following a near ankle lock submission by Kade. After 10 grueling minutes, judges scored in favor of Kade Ruotolo by unanimous decision to retain the lightweight belt.

Anatoly Malykhin’s team wish a speedy recovery to Reinier de Ridder

Anatoly Malykhin made massive headlines at ONE on Prime Video 5 with another incredible knockout victory against former two-division king Reinier de Ridder.

The game plan was simple from the get-go, which Malykhin executed to perfection. He stuffed the takedowns with great mastery, preventing any opportunity for a sweep, while piling on the damage with heavy power punches from the outside.

Malykhin really set the end into motion after landing a staggering right hook that knocked down the defending world champion against the ring. Anatoly Malykhin followed up with brutal hammer fists, leaving de Ridder frighteningly immobile until the referee intervened.

Post-fight, Tiger Muay Thai boxing coach John Hutchinson celebrated his pupil’s victory while giving credit to Reinier de Ridder on Instagram for his performance:

“We said repeatedly “ONE ROUND” sleep time! Massive respect to Reinier de Ridder one of the best in the world !! Speedy recovery 🙏🏻 @anmalykhin 3 BELT TIME 🏆🏆🏆”
