WATCH: Aung La N Sang can be an immovable object or a destructive force

ONE Championship showcased the warrior qualities of Aung La N Sang.

Since joining ONE in 2014, ‘The Burmese Python’ has made eighteen appearances in the Circle, leading to a 14-4 record. The Myanmar native is a former two-division world champion, including a handful of entertaining fights and highlight-reel moments along the way.

As a result, ONE posted an Instagram video displaying some of Aung La’s best finishes with a training clip attached. The post was captioned:

“BRUTAL Attack Team “The Burmese Python” 💥@aunglansang Aung La N Sang will fight “King Kong Warrior” Fan Rong in our debut event in the United States ONE Fight Night 10! 💪”

After losing his world championships to Reinier de Ridder, Aung La bounced back with a first-round knockout against Leandro Ataides. He lost his next fight by decision before rattling off two first-round knockouts, including his last win against Gilberto Galvao in January.

Aung La N Sang says it will "be a lot easier" to fight in North America

Aung La N Sang trains at Kill Cliff FC in South Florida. Therefore, the former two-division world champion endures a long journey to Asia when he fights for ONE Championship. Now that the promotion is holding an event in North America for the first time, ‘The Burmese Python’ will get to take advantage of less travel.

During an interview with SCMP MMA, Aung La had this to say about the benefits of fighting in North America:

“I can bring more training partners, I can make it more, I can make preparations easier for the fight towards the end and I have a lot of things in my control than versus let’s say like in Singapore or even in like the worst example would be like in China where I couldn’t speak their language in a foreign country. I had a hard time getting the right food and such you know. But this one it’s gonna be a lot easier.”

On May 5, Aung La will take on Fan Rong at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video. The historic event goes down inside the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, with a lot of American talent, including Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes 3 in the main event and the return of Sage Northcutt.
