ONE Championship star and MMA grappling specialist Ayaka Miura will be making her submission grappling debut at ONE Fight Night 7. Across the ring from her is one of jiu-jitsu's fastest-rising stars, ONE submission grappler Danielle Kelly.

Despite being new to straight submission grappling matches, 'Zombie' will not be completely out of her element come February 24. She native holds the record for the most submissions in ONE women's strawweight history, boasting an impressive 11-5 record with a 100% finish rate, all by submissions.

Aside from her dreaded "Ayaka Lock" which terrorized ONE's strawweight ranks for years, Miura also employs a lot of Judo techniques that have given her success inside the Circle.

One such technique was seen in a video posted by ONE Championship on Instagram. Ayaka Miura was seen executing a flying armbar in the gym. It's quite slick and would be very cool to see during live competition.

Here's the video:

Ayaka Miura warns opponent Danielle Kelly not to underestimate her come ONE Fight Night 7

Ayaka Miura's February 24 opponent, Danielle Kelly, was on record saying she's debating whether to finish the Japanese fighter early or have fun with her first.

Despite the huge task of having her submission grappling debut against one of the best in the world, 'Zombie' insists that she shouldn't be underestimated.

Miura claims that she is an entirely different breed of grappler compared to Kelly's former opponent, Japanese MMA legend Mei Yamaguchi. Kelly and Yamaguchi fought to a draw at ONE X last year.

Miura told ONE:

“Mei Yamaguchi is an MMA fighter, but she's also very good at jiu-jitsu. I think I'm a bit different from Mei Yamaguchi, but I also trained with Mei for this upcoming fight. And then I got some advice from her. But the style is different.”

All four of Miura's wins under the ONE Championship banner have come by way of submission. The 32-year-old Judoka used her trademark scarf-hold armlock, aptly called "Ayaka Lock", to make her opponents tap out. It would be interesting to see her try to apply it against the crafty guard player Kelly.
