Before Fabricio Andrade defends his bantamweight MMA crown against Kwon Won Il later this month, ONE Championship has revisited the fight that established the Brazilian knockout artist as a force to be reckoned with.
'Wonder Boy' announced his arrival as a legitimate contender in the competitive 145-pound division with a stunning performance against Filipino rising star Jeremy Pacatiw at ONE: Full Circle in Feb. 2022.

Riding a wave of momentum at the time, Andrade showcased why he was considered a threat by emphatically dismantling Pacatiw. However, the victory didn’t come without challenges, as 'The Juggernaut' started the bout with aggression and confidence.
Pacatiw came out firing, testing his opponent’s defense early with a hard leg kick and crisp one-two combinations. His relentless pressure and swift overhand strikes initially put Andrade on the back foot.
Despite Pacatiw’s strong start, Andrade remained composed, relying on his patience and precision. The Brazilian began finding his rhythm with sharp jabs that disrupted the Filipino’s flow.
As the strikes started to land cleanly, Andrade’s confidence surged, culminating in a perfectly timed body shot that visibly slowed his cage counterpart. Sensing an opportunity, Pacatiw pressed forward in search of a decisive finish. But it was Andrade who capitalized on his rival’s aggression.
As Pacatiw lunged in with an overhand right, Andrade delivered a thunderous knee that collided with devastating force, enhanced by the Filipino’s forward momentum.
The impact sent Pacatiw crashing to the canvas in visible pain, prompting the referee to stop the bout at the 1:37 mark of the opening round.
Fabricio Andrade stakes 26 pounds of gold at ONE 170
Now, Fabricio Andrade is set to return at ONE 170 on Jan. 24 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, where he will defend his ONE bantamweight MMA world championship in a rematch against Kwon Won Il.
While Kwon has shown significant improvement since their previous encounter, Andrade remains confident in his ability to replicate his past success.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the Brazilian predicted another quick finish, signaling his readiness to deliver yet another highlight-reel performance:
“I’m very confident that I will eventually find holes in his game and stop the fight. But I’m not focused on this just to try and finish it as early as possible in the earlier rounds."
