'Wonder Boy' has dismantled nearly every heavy hitter in his division on his path to the top. His growing list of vanquished opponents includes Mark Abelardo, Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, and Kwon Won Il.
However, the defining moment of Andrade’s career came in Feb. 2023 when he defeated fellow Brazilian standout John Lineker to claim the coveted prize in his weight class.
Their first encounter ended in anticlimactic fashion, but Andrade was resolute in delivering a definitive finish in their rematch. However, Lineker made him work for it, relentlessly throwing power shots and utilizing his wrestling to land eye-catching takedowns.
Despite the early challenges, Andrade found his rhythm, utilizing stiff jabs and unleashing his sharp knees to the body. As the bout progressed, he piled on the damage with solid blows that left Lineker battered and bloodied.
The punishment became too much for 'Hands of Stone' to endure, prompting his corner to throw in the towel before the fifth round could begin, crowning Andrade as the new MMA king at 145 pounds.
