British megastar Jonathan Haggerty earned his biggest win in ONE Championship in April 2023 when he challenged then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama at ONE Fight Night 9.
'The General' was fighting like a man possessed as he willingly went toe-to-toe with the Thai icon, who had successfully defended the 145-pound Muay Thai crown seven times over the last four years.
With under a minute to spare in the first round, Haggerty knocked out the Muay Thai legend with a crushing right hand.

In November of that same year, the 27-year-old captured the vacant ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship with a vicious knockout of ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade.
Fans last saw the two-sport king inside the circle in Feb. 2024 when he pulled off a wondrous come-from-behind TKO win over Felipe Lobo to successfully defend the bantamweight Muay Thai crown for the first time.
For his next assignment, Haggerty will defend the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world championship against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 inside the Ball Arena.
Jonathan Haggerty expects ultra-violent Superlek at ONE 168
Though Superlek defeated him via TKO due to a doctor's stoppage in 2018 during their time outside of ONE, Jonathan Haggerty believes that 'The Kicking Machine' will be looking for a definitive finish this time around.
Speaking with the South China Morning Post, Haggerty stated:
"I really think Superlek's not underestimating me. It'd be silly to. People have done that before, and look what happened."
