Burmese megastar Aung La N Sang is one of the most important fighters ever to grace the world stage of ONE Championship. Following a stellar promotional debut in June 2014, 'The Burmese Python' won his first ONE world championship in June 2017 when he dethroned then-ONE middleweight MMA world champion Vitaly Bigdash in their redo from January.

Aung La N Sang dominated Alexandre Machado in February 2018 to capture the vacant ONE light heavyweight MMA world championship, cementing him as the second-ever two-division ONE MMA world champion.

However, his reign as two-division king would come to a screeching halt at the hands of Reinier de Ridder, who took the middleweight and light heavyweight MMA crowns from him in October 2020 and April 2021, respectively.

Despite back-to-back losses, the Kill Cliff FC product responded by finishing four of his last five opponents.

Aung La N Sang will be gunning for his 16th win under the ONE banner when he faces the undefeated Shamil Erdogan at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.

Turkish star Shamil Erdogan is currently undefeated through nine pro fights, and Aung La N Sang would love nothing more than to hand him his first career loss at ONE 168: Denver.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the 39-year-old MMA legend said about his upcoming bout inside the Ball Arena on September 6:

"I think he's gonna dictate where the fight is going to happen, but we're gonna fight. I wanna make it a hard, hard fight. I wanna feel every second of this. I wanna feel the pain and everything."
