Kicking off the list at number five is Angela Lee’s rear-naked choke victory over Stamp Fairtex in the main event of ONE X. After being hurt on the feet in the first round by her opponent, Lee knew that she needed to play to her strengths if she was going to defend her atomweight title.

After taking Stamp down in the first round, Angela was able to do the same in the second. Though Stamp proved that she had improved in this area with her defense, it was still not enough to avoid Lee’s submission threats.

Following that is Alex Silva’s heel hook submission against Adrian Mattheis. After lots of readjustments from the Brazilian, he finally secured the submission to end their rematch early, forcing the tap in the first round.

Grappling doesn’t get much more devastating than what came next on the list...

In 2022, Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida continued his transition from being one of the top grapplers in the world to an elite heavyweight contender flawlessly. At ONE on Prime Video 1, he earned the biggest win of his career when he caught Kirill Grishenko with a heel hook just over a minute into their fight. Unsurprisingly, Grishenko tapped immediately.

In the runner-up spot is a submission that is the total opposite of 'Buchecha’s rapid heel hook. At ONE 163, Ahmed Mujtaba slowly and methodically locked in a triangle choke over his opponent Abraão Amorim like a boa constrictor.

Finally, taking top spot is Reiner de Ridder’s middleweight title defense against Vitaly Bigdash last July. After opening the clip with de Ridder being the one in submission danger, the grappling specialist expertly navigates his way out of the threat and sets up his own inverted triangle choke with one of the best sequences ever seen inside the circle.

John Lineker excited for ONE Championship’s debut on U.S. soil

Former ONE bantamweight world champion John Lineker is excited to see ONE Championship touchdown in the United States for the first time.

ONE Championship recently announced its first event that will take place on U.S. soil. ONE on Prime Video 10 will be headlined by the trilogy fight between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes.

Whilst no other announcements have been made for the event on May 5 yet, ‘Hands of Stone’ is hoping that he will have a part to play in this history-making event.

“ONE's U.S. debut is great news for all of us fighters and also for the event, which has been growing a lot around the world. And it will be very good for us fighters in terms of sponsorship and visibility, among other aspects."

He added:

"It would be an honor to fight on this card, even because most of my international fights were in the United States. So, to be fighting again in the U.S. and now for the ONE Championship would be amazing.”

Before ONE on Prime Video 10 airs live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado, John Lineker will step into the circle on February 10 to settle things with fellow Brazilian Fabricio Andrade.

The two will meet in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 7 to crown a new bantamweight world champion.
