Double ONE world champion Christian Lee is set to make his long-awaited return to action next month after two years from a self-imposed break. He is picking up from his gutsy come-from-behind win over Kiamrian Abbasov to claim the welterweight MMA world title.

'The Warrior' was last in battle in November 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 4 against former welterweight king Abbasov for the then vacant belt that saw he him rally back after being badly clipped early to win by TKO in the fourth round.

Lee showed a lot of grit and determination, banking on his topnotch skills, as he steadily tore down 'Brazen,' finishing with a ferocious ground-and-pound to claim the KO win.

ONE Championship recently posted a carousel of videos of the 26-year-old champion's impressive win on its verified Instagram account ahead of Lee's return to action at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 in Thailand.

Following his victory over Abbasov, Christian Lee found himself needing to go on a break following the untimely passing of younger sister and fellow ONE fighter Victoria in December 2022. Like the rest of his family, he needed time and space to come to terms with what happened, which ONE Championship gave him.

Christian Lee returns to defend ONE lightweight MMA belt

At ONE Fight Night 26, Christian Lee will defend the lightweight MMA world title, which he concurrently holds with the welterweight belt, against Turkish challenger Alibeg Rasulov.

It serves as the headlining contest of the event happening at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Christian Lee will be defending the lightweight belt for the first time since reclaiming it over old nemesis Ok Rae Yoon of South Korea in their title rematch in August 2022.

Looking to dethrone him is Rasulov, 31, who backed up his blue-chip recruit reputation with an impressive victory over Ok in his debut back in July. It was initially for the interim lightweight belt but he was ruled ineligible to win it after failing hydration tests.
