WATCH: Danielle Kelly working hard preparing for her next appearance in the Circle

Fresh off her win in November, Danielle Kelly is gearing up for her return to the circle on February 10.

The submission grappling sensation will make her first appearance of 2023 on ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, competing against former MMA world title challenger Ayaka Miura. ONE Championship shared a glimpse into Kelly’s training on Instagram with the caption:

“Danielle Kelly returns to submission grappling action 🥋 on February 10 against decorated judoka Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7! 🔥 “

Danielle Kelly and Ayaka Miura will share the stage with two world title fights at ONE Fight Night 7, the first coming in the co-main event of the evening. Tawanchai PK.Saenchai will meet Jamal Yusupov for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship. In the main event, No.1-ranked bantamweight Fabricio Andrade will rematch former titleholder John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker to crown a new bantamweight king.

Kelly will look to keep her momentum going in the new year after scoring an impressive victory over Sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November.

Danielle Kelly’s success in 2022 was both inside and outside the circle

There is no doubt Danielle Kelly had an incredibly successful debut year with ONE Championship in 2022. After delivering two fantastic performances, one of which earned her a $50,000 bonus, Kelly is now primed for an even better 2023, but not all of her success in 2022 was contained to the circle.

Becoming one of the most recognized faces in the world of submission grappling, Kelly had the opportunity to travel across the country, sharing her love for the sport and helping teach the next generation of BJJ superstars in a series of seminars. Discussing the experience in a post on Instagram, Kelly said:

“I’ve probably taught over 40-50 seminars this past year all over the US. I’ve also made my ONE debut on the biggest stage and ended it with wins and met so many great people. I’ve made adjustments, improving including myself, reconnected with people, learned a lot this year outside of jiu jitsu”.
