Canadian grapping ace Dante Leon introduced himself to ONE Championship fans in grand way, fashioning out a dominant submission victory in his promotional debut in Thailand last week.

The multi-time No-Gi world champion was in his clinical best in making short work of veteran ONE campaigner Bruno Pucci in their lightweight submission grappling showdown at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium to set his journey in the "Home of Martial Arts" to a good start.

Dante Leon immediately showed his topnotch grappling skills, taking the back of 'Puccibull' 20 seconds into the contest and working his way to the finish from there. He was able to trap his opponent's arm with his legs and cranked the pressure up for a triangle armbar, forcing Pucci to tap out a little over two minutes into their scheduled 10-minute joust.

ONE Championship captured the impressive finish by Leon and posted it on Instagram for fans to relive.

Dante Leon proud to have showcased a lot of his skills at ONE Fight Night 26

Dante Leon had a quick win in his ONE Championship debut on Dec. 6 at ONE Fight Night 26 but was proud and happy to have been able to still showcase his grappling abilities through a chain of submissions.

The Pedigo Submission Fighting representative ended his lightweight submission grappling match against Bruno Pucci with an impressive triangle armbar but not after presenting varying submission looks that had 'Puccibull' scrambling to wiggle himself out from no end.

Leon shared what went down in his featured match at ONE Fight Night 26 in a post-fight interview with ONE analyst Mitch Chilson inside the ring, saying:

"In the beginning, he took a shot, I kind of wasn't expecting it. So I had to focus on that front headlock, put some pressure on the guillotine, was able to get the back, and I really thought I could be able to triangle armbar him from the back."

He added:

"I thought he'd probably be tough to finish with the rear-naked, but I ended up having a nice chain of submissions. I had a shoulder lock at the first part, switched to a triangle, and then switched to armbar, so I kinda showed a lot there."

The performance he displayed at ONE Fight Night 26 was what exactly the aggressive showing that Leon promised heading into the contest.
