Among the strengths for Fabricio Andrade, he highlighted his footwork, consistent jabs, and speed. This kind of persistent attack from range was one of the reasons many viewers had Andrade ahead on the scorecards during the first John Lineker fight, due to the high volume landed by Andrade.
Here’s some of the high praise that he had for Fabricio Andrade:
“Everybody says like, he’s one of the best strikers out there at Tiger Muay Thai in mixed martial arts.
For grappling, Demetrious Johnson highlighted the spatial awareness of Andrade and use of gravity to gain superior positions. Andrade was caught in some precarious positions on the mat, but was able to find the shortest path to reset in every exchange that Johnson highlighted.
With only 11 fights deep into his MMA career, Andrade has grown levels between each fight. Fans will only have to wait a few more hours to see what upgrades he’ll bring to the ring next time, as Fabricio Andrade will fight John Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world championship in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7.
Fabricio Andrade still can’t believe he’s living his dream in martial arts
Fabricio Andrade is fighting for a world title at ONE Championship for a second time, but it still hasn’t sunk in that this is reality. Most of Andrade’s MMA career is likely ahead of him, having not even reached his athletic prime.
Andrade spoke in an interview with ONE Championship about his gratitude for seeing his work pay off:
Every day I wake up, and I still can’t believe everything that’s happening in my life and how far I’ve come. But what excites me the most is that I always knew I would make it, even with all the difficulties.
Before his dream can be fully realized, however, Andrade must take out former bantamweight world champion John Lineker.
With a win, Andrade would win his first world championship in MMA. Past this world title fight, the options for him to explore in his career are endless, between fights with contenders like Stephen Loman and challenging for belts in Muay Thai or kickboxing.
North American fans can check out the next chapter for Andrade by watching ONE Fight Night 7 on Amazon Prime on Friday night in the US.
