WATCH: Demetrious Johnson and Tye Ruotolo go at it in dream crossover training session in California

Current ONE world champions Demetrious Johnson and Tye Ruotolo were able to share the mat recently during a training session. The two combat sports superstars were seen training together in California to further hone their skills.

The promotion shared a clip of the ONE flyweight MMA world champion Johnson and the ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion Tye Ruotolo on Instagram and captioned it with:

"Iron sharpens iron ⚔️ @mighty @ruotolobrothersjiujitsu"

In the video, Johnson was seen trying to pass the guard of Ruotolo but immediately found himself in a D'Arce choke position that forced a tap.

It was a great training session for both superstars since they picked up valuable pointers and techniques. For 'The Mighty Mouse,' he was able to sharpen his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with one of the premier submission grapplers in the world today.

He would certainly use them in his upcoming BJJ tournaments because he has been actively joining since September last year. Johnson has already won multiple gold medals in the IBJFF Masters World and IBJFF Pan American Championships.

Meanwhile, Tye has acquired various MMA pointers from the American legend that he intends to use in the foreseeable future in his eventual transition to mixed martial arts competition under the world's largest martial arts organization.

The Atos representative was coming off a successful world title defense against Izaak Michell in April at ONE Fight Night 21 via a 'Ruotolo-tine' submission to retain his 26-pound golden belt.

Demetrious Johnson and Tye Ruotolo to support Kade in his MMA debut at ONE 167

Johnson and Tye were not the only ones present in the 3-hour training session because Kade was also with them. The lightweight submission grappling world champion is currently preparing for his MMA debut on June 7 at ONE 167 against Blake Cooper in a lightweight MMA bout at Impact Arena in Bangkok.

That fight kicks off Kade's quest to become a two-sport world champion in ONE Championship and become one of his generation's greatest fighters.
