Dillon Danis was on the receiving end of a vicious punch from former Bellator fighter Anthony Taylor. Danis was involved in not one but two altercations at the weigh-ins of the Misfits Boxing event scheduled to take place on November 19th, 2022.
Danis confronted YouTube megastar and boxer KSI (real name: Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji) at the Misfit Boxing weigh-ins in Texas. KSI, who's serving as a promoter for the event, was seemingly cordial with Danis. The Bellator fighter and BJJ savant ended up exchanging words with KSI.
Dillon Danis notably threatened to choke KSI out, whereas the latter claimed he'd knock 'El Jefe' out. Following that, Danis tagged the UK social media influencer with a left-hand strike to the head. Pandemonium ensued as Danis and KSI had to be separated. Danis was immediately escorted out of the venue after he attacked KSI.

Soon thereafter, Bellator MMA fighter-turned-boxer Anthony Taylor approached Dillon Danis, criticizing the grappling specialist for attacking KSI. Danis and Taylor were with their respective entourages at the time. 'El Jefe' continued to ignore Taylor.
After taking a few more verbal jibes at Danis, Taylor ended up physically attacking him with a few strikes. A thunderous right hand appeared to land clean on Danis. Furthermore, members of both entourages clashed with one another but were soon separated. As seen in IFL TV's video, Danis and his team were then escorted to a vehicle in the vicinity.

Scott Coker on the recent altercation between Dillon Danis and Nate Diaz
Dillon Danis and former UFC star Nate Diaz got into a verbal altercation outside Madison Square Garden (MSG) on November 12th, the night that the much-awaited UFC 281 event transpired at MSG. Diaz slapped a member of Danis' team, following which, the fighters' respective groups were swiftly distanced from each other.
Danis hasn't competed in MMA since mid-2019. He holds a professional MMA record of 2-0. Meanwhile, Diaz (21-13 MMA) is regarded as a combat sports legend. Moreover, Diaz last fought in September 2022 and is currently a free agent.
During an interview with The Schmo, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker discussed the aforementioned altercation. Advising Danis and Diaz to clash in the Bellator cage rather than in a street fight scenario, Coker stated:
"You know, I really don't know. I mean, you know, to me, it's like -- Look, if fighters wanna fight for free, please give me a call. These are professional athletes. They should be fighting for the money they deserve. But we'll see about Dillon Danis. I really have no update right now."
