Taiki Naito was not the only opponent of Elias Mahmoudi during their flyweight kickboxing battle last August at ONE Fight Night 24 because he was also suffering from dengue fever during the match inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
ONE Championship revealed this in a recent video they published on Instagram, and they wrote its caption with:
"Victory in any condition 😷 Will Elias Mahmoudi's mindset lead him to victory against Denis Puric at ONE Fight Night 26 on @primevideo this Friday? @elias_mahmoudi_official"

Despite not being in his best form, 'The Sniper' was still able to produce a highlight-reel knockout in the third round using a spinning back fist that put his Japanese opponent to sleep.
Following his fourth victory under the world's largest martial arts organization, Mahmoudi quickly went to the hospital to deal with his illness and fully recuperate.
Elias Mahmoudi says there is nothing special about his upcoming opponent Denis Puric
Four months after that incredible performance against Naito, the Algerian striking sensation is now back in action, as he now takes on Denis Puric in a flyweight Muay Thai battle on Dec. 6 as part of the ONE Fight Night 26 card inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In an interview with ONE Championship before their all-important fight, the Mahmoudi Gym representative has acknowledged the stacked resume of 'The Bosnian Menace,' but he stated that Puric is just an ordinary fighter and has nothing special to offer for him:
"I don't think there is anything special about him. I respect him as a fighter and for his career, but nothing more."
North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription can watch all the action at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, which will take place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
