Algerian Muay Thai star Elias Mahmoudi made sure he had a knockout victory in his barnburner of a contest against veteran Denis Puric in their catchweight match last week. He went on a ferocious finish to see his goal through.
The 26-year-old Mahmoudi Gym standout was among the big winners at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, stepping up with a clutch showing to underscore further his standing as force to contend with in his lane in ONE Championship.
Mahmoudi went on a massive teardown of the 'Bosnian Menace' in the third and final round of their catchweight (138.75 lbs) showdown, uncorking punishing punches and knees to knock out Puric with two seconds left in the stanza.
ONE Championship spotlighted the last-second dismantling that Elias Mahmoudi showcased in an Instagram post for fans to look back to and be amazed at.

Elias Mahmoudi sets sights on Rodtang following impressive win at ONE Fight Night 26
Following his impressive knockout victory at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, Elias Mahmoudi said he is now looking at a showdown next with flyweight Muay Thai top dog Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
He shared this in the post-fight interview inside the ring after he finished veteran striker Denis Puric in their Muay Thai showdown last week, highlighting that he has more than proven that he is deserving to get a shot at 'The Iron Man.'
"I want Rodtang. He's number one now, he's a big star, a big fighter in the world. He had a very close fight with Puric, I beat Puric with a knockout in the last round. So I think I can [put on] a vey good show with Rodtang, what do you think? Let's go!"
A possible Rodtang-Mahmoudi showdown could well be for the vacant flyweight Muay Thai world title after the Thai superstar was stripped of it in his previous match for missing weight. It, however, has to wait, with Rodtang set for a long-planned clash with Japanese superstar Takeru Segawa in his next fight.
