Thailand's capital of Bangkok is abuzz as ONE Championship's first numbered event of the year -- ONE 170 -- happens this week. The event will take place at the Impact Arena and features a stacked card of topnotch Muay Thai, MMA, kickboxing and submission grappling matches.

ONE captured what has been a busy fight week for the featured fighters and shared behind-the-scenes clips of their activities on its official YouTube channel for fans to feel the electricity in the lead-up to the marquee event.

It included interviews and training footage of defending world champions Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Fabricio Andrade and their respective opponents Superbon and Kwon Won il. Also spotlighted were interim bantamweight Muay Thai belt hopefuls Nico Carrillo and Nabil Anane as well ONE-debuting BJJ legend Marcelo Garcia and emerging Muay Thai forces Johan Ghazali and Johan Estupinan.

Tawanchai, Superbon headline ONE 170

ONE 170 will be headlined by the all-champion title rematch between ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Sanenchai and the division's kickboxing king Superbon.

The two first met for the Muay Thai gold in December 2023, where they treated fans to an absolute barnburner. In the end it was the defending champion who emerged victorious by majority decision.

It is something that Superbon has vowed to redeem himself from in their rematch, saying that unlike in their first encounter he has a firmer grip of his Muay Thai game this time around after long competing in kickboxing.

Meanwhile, serving as co-main event at ONE 170 is the battle for the ONE bantamweight MMA world title between reigning champion Fabricio Andrade and his South Korean rival and no. 3 contender Kwon Won il.

It is also a rematch for the two top martial artists after the Brazilian star knocked out 'Pretty Boy' in the opening round of their title eliminator in June 2022.

A third championship match between knockout artists Nico Cariilo and Nabil Anane for the interim bantamweight Muay Thai world title is also on tap for the event. It was initially a battle between Carrillo and reigning divisional king Superlek Kiatmoo9 but was restructured as such after 'The Kicking Machine' had to withdraw because of injury.
