ONE bantamweight world title contender Fabricio Andrade has one of the most lethal body attacks in the sport of MMA today. Most particularly, his stepping knee strike to the body has ended matches almost instantaneously.
In a recent video clip uploaded by ONE Championship on Instagram, we saw 'Wonder Boy' easily finishing Filipino striking specialist Jeremy Pacatiw with the dreaded knee strike.

What makes Fabricio Andrade's knee-to-the-body so devastating is the stance where he throws it from. The Brazilian knockout artist is a southpaw, meaning his powerful knee is colliding with the right side of his opponent's body, right on the liver. It's the knee equivalent of the classic boxing punch, "the liver shot".
When timed perfectly, the strike nearly automatically shuts down the system of even the toughest fighters in history. Just ask the fallen victims of boxing greats like Micky Ward and Julio Cesar Chavez.
Look to see Andrade connect with this knee strike in his rematch with John Lineker for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24. The event is live and free on Amazon Prime for North American subscribers.
Fabricio Andrade nearly finished John Lineker with knee strike to the body in first fight
Fabricio Andrade's first fight with John Lineker happened back in October last year at ONE on Prime Video 3. As everyone knows by now, the bout had been controversial before, during, and after the fight bell rang.
With trash-talk getting more intense leading up to fight night, everyone was quite let down when Lineker missed weight in the weigh-ins. 'Hands of Stone' was stripped of his world title, which made Andrade the only fighter eligible to win the belt.
The fight, however, was an exciting back-and-forth affair, at least while it lasted. Both warriors lived up to the hype and provided non-stop violence from start to finish. By the third round, Andrade landed his signature knee strike to the body that instantaneously sent the former world champ retreating in pain.
As Andrade went in for the kill, he accidentally hit Lineker to the groin with the same knee strike. The knee strike was so powerful that it broke Lineker's groin protector. 'Hands of Stone' was deemed incapable of continuing, ruling the ill-fated match a no-contest. No man left the stadium a world champion that night.
