At ONE Fight Night 16 on November 3, ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade will square off against ONE bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty. The bout will be the first time two world champions of different sports will fight for the belt of a completely different sport. History will be written inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium yet again.
'Wonder Boy' has had a violent romp on his way to the top of his division in ONE Championship. Much of this has to do with his penchant for putting people away with body shots. This is due to his striking background, which consisted of both Muay Thai and kickboxing back in his home country of Brazil.
In a recent Instagram post, ONE Championship created a compilation of Andrade's body shot destruction in the promotion:
"Is Fabricio Andrade the body shot KING? 👑 The ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion looks to become a two-sport titleholder on November 3 at ONE Fight Night 16 on @primevideo! 👊 @fabricioandrade1"

In his last four fights inside the Circle, Andrade has utilized his body blows in such a way that would make Bas Rutten and Micky Ward proud. When he faced Filipino Wushu specialist Jeremy Pacatiw, 'Wonderboy' introduced us to his patented fight-ending knee-to-the-body. The timing of it was so good that Pacatiw didn't see it coming.
Next, Fabricio Andrade faced Korean KO artist Kwon Won-Il. This time, his roundhouse kick to the body put 'Pretty Boy' away. After dispatching Kwon, Andrade got his world title shot against former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker.
In his first fight with 'Hands of Stone', Andrade landed his knee-to-the-body once again, nearly ending the bout. If not for an unfortunate accidental groin shot, he would have been the world champion that night. In their rematch months later, Fabricio Andrade finally realized his childhood dream by stopping Lineker via TKO in the fourth round.
