Tawanchai first captured global attention with his promotional debut at ONE: Dangal in May 2021. There, he squared off against Sean Clancy in an electrifying three-round battle, capped off by a spectacular knockout.
In the third round, Tawanchai unleashed a devastating left high kick, sending Clancy to the canvas before he even hit the ground.
Since that unforgettable maiden appearance, he has been a dominant force in the division, amassing an impressive 9-1 record under the ONE banner.
Tawanchai aims to decisively beat Superbon in second encounter
Now, Tawanchai PK Saenchai is preparing for his 11th appearance in the main event of ONE 170.
The first chapter of Tawanchai’s rivalry with Superbon was written at ONE Friday Fights 46 in December 2023.
The bout, one of that year’s most anticipated super-fights, saw Tawanchai successfully defend his crown in a mesmerizing five-round war that highlighted the very best of elite-level Muay Thai.
From the opening bell, both men met in the center of the ring, trading powerful strikes and demonstrating their technical mastery. Tawanchai set the pace early with pinpoint precision, while Superbon countered with calculated attacks through the initial rounds.
The intensity escalated in the championship frames as the two warriors landed crushing punches and bone-rattling kicks. In the end, Tawanchai’s accuracy and control tipped the scales, earning him a well-deserved majority decision to retain his gold-plated belt.
At ONE 170, Tawanchai looks to settle the score more decisively, aiming for a definitive finish against Superbon in their epic rematch.
