Despite their easy-going personalities, Rodtang and Musumeci will showcase their ferocity later this year in two separate must-watch ONE world championship fights.
On September 6 inside the Ball Arena at ONE 168: Denver, Musumeci will be gunning for his second ONE world championship as he challenges Kade Ruotolo for the lightweight submission grappling crown.
As for Rodtang, he will defend the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8 inside the State Farm Arena against former foe and now third-ranked flyweight Muay Thai competitor Jacob Smith.
Kade Ruotolo predicts Mikey Musumeci's offense at ONE 168
Kade Ruotolo currently has three successful defenses of the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship on his resume. While Mikey Musumeci will be his biggest test to date, the Atos product is confident that he already has his ONE 169 opponent figured out.
Ruotolo said as much in an appearance on the Talk-Jitsu Podcast:
"I believe that's gonna be his goal, is to get a leg. In the most respectful way possible, I think that his only chance [to win] is to get onto my legs and maybe transition to a possible backtake or something. I think he's backing on some footlock, or some heel hooks or straight foot locks."
