In Feb. 2023, Lineker fought Fabricio Andrade in a rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight MMA world title. 'Hands of Stone' suffered arguably the most disappointing loss of his fighting career, as Andrade battered him for four rounds before securing a TKO win in the main event of ONE Fight Night 7.
Six months later, the Brazilian knockout artist returned to action against Kim Jae Woong at ONE Fight Night 13. Things didn't start as planned for Lineker, with Kim winning the bout heading into round three.
With less than five seconds left on the clock, Lineker turned everything around with a monster left hook that dropped Kim. 'Hands of Stone' pounced on his injured opponent and secured a third-round knockout to steal the win in the last few seconds of the fight.
ONE Championship posted highlights on Instagram of Lineker's last-second knockout, which can be seen below:

Since defeating Kim Jae Woong, John Lineker has fought twice under the ONE Championship banner. Firstly, the hard-hitting bantamweight defeated Stephen Loman by unanimous decision. In January, Lineker attempted to win in a short-notice openweight bout against Shinya Aoki, but ended up being submitted by the Japanese grappler in round one.
Where does John Lineker stand in the ONE bantamweight MMA division?
John Lineker is the number-one contender in the ONE bantamweight MMA division. Although it's unconfirmed by ONE, 'Hands of Stone' may very well fight Fabricio Andrade for undisputed gold later this year.
Andrade hasn't announced when he will return to action. As a result, Lineker is scheduled to remain active with a bantamweight Muay Thai bout on Sept. 6 at ONE 168: Denver. The hard-hitting Brazilian will face Asa Ten Pow, who's coming off back-to-back knockout wins.
Lineker vs Ten Pow is one of several entertaining matchups going down inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Tickets for the highly-anticipated event featuring two world title bouts can be found on Ticketmaster.
