Just a day after Dana White posted a promotional video for his latest combat sports endeavor, Power Slap League, it seems that potential participants are already eager to audition. In light of White's viral altercation with his wife on New Year's Eve, it was recently confirmed that TBS Network will postpone the show's debut until January 18.
While the concept of slapping as a sporting league did not go down well with many within the combat sports community, it seems former UFC women's strawweight contender Pearl Gonzalez is quite stoked about potentially participating in it.
While Gonzalez made her last UFC outing in 2017, the Invicta fighter recently posted a video on Twitter apparently auditioning for the Power Slap League.
The almost parodical video showed her slapping one of the TV producers for the UFC and Power Slap League, while claiming to become the first women's slap champion. She wrote:

"Hey @danawhite, here is my audition for @powerslap.. I will be your first ever women’s Slap champion!! Thanks to your producer @gary_defranco147 for letting me slap the shihhh outta him!"

While it is yet to be known if Dana White will accept Pearl Gonzalez's audition tape, the Power Slap League is regulated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The show will air on the TBS network from January 18 onwards.
Ariel Helwani slams Dana White and everyone associated to Power Slap Fighting League
Ariel Helwani has brutally slammed Dana White for his altercation with his wife on New Year's Eve. As caught on tape, the video clearly showed the intoxicated 53-year-old slapping his wife multiple times in retaliation to her striking him first.
Referring to the incident, the veteran MMA journalist sounded off on White's latest endeavor, the Slap Fighting League.
On an episode of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani lambasted Dana White for his actions and questioned why television broadcasters and the Nevada State Athletic Commission are still associated with the sport in light of Dana White's behavior.
Highlighting the irony of the UFC president's new slapping league after the incident, Helwani stated:
"Shame on TBS if they're going to air that Slap Fighting League... Can you script it any worse?... Shame on anyone who picks it up afterwards after that. Shame on anyone who's covering that. Honestly, shame on all of you. Shame on Nevada for sanctioning that. The Nevada that doesn't sanction BKFC, they sanction that? You're kidding me?... Shame on all of them."
