Former ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Ilias Ennahachi showcased his power against former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Hiroki Akimoto. They met in a bantamweight kickboxing bout at ONE Friday Fights 81 this past Friday, Sept. 27, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ennahachi slipped past a right hand from Akimoto and instantaneously responded with a blinding left hook that dropped the Kyokushin Karate black belter in the first round.

Akimoto attempted to mount a comeback in rounds two and three but the momentum was fully in favor of Ennahachi, who ultimately triumphed via unanimous decision.
By defeating Akimoto, the Moroccan-Dutch star extended his unbeaten run in ONE to five victories and claimed his second win in the bantamweight kickboxing division.
Meanwhile, Akimoto is now on a three-fight skid. His last victory came in March 2022 when he dethroned Capitan Petchyindee for the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship.
Ilias Ennahachi open to fighting good friend Petchtanong over potential ONE world championship opportunity
Ilias Ennahachi and third-ranked ONE bantamweight kickboxing competitor Petchtanong Petchfergus go way back.
Still, Ennahachi has no qualms about potentially fighting him as he hopes to challenge for the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship, which is currently held by Jonathan Haggerty.
Speaking with the South China Morning Post, Ennahachi stated:
"It's still a fight. Everybody wants the title. Petchtanong is a very good guy, we speak a lot on Instagram together. But when we fight, it's business. After the fight, we are friends. So, if I need to fight him to get to the title, I must fight him because I want the title. I want the credits."
