One of the most exhilarating moments in Martin Nguyen's career came when he knocked out Narantungalag Jadambaa, a victory that stands out in his highlight reel of finishes.
The knockout took place during his main event bout at ONE: Roots of Honor in April 2019, held in front of a packed crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

At the time, Nguyen was defending his then-ONE featherweight MMA world title against Jadambaa, a former divisional champion.
Despite Jadambaa's renowned power and resilience, Nguyen refused to be intimidated and showcased his technical brilliance throughout the fight.
He quickly settled into a rhythm in the opening salvo, landing clean, effective strikes while avoiding the Mongolian’s dangerous hooks.
In the second frame, Nguyen continued to press the action, mixing precise punches with powerful leg kicks to keep Jadambaa at bay. The strikes prevented the challenger from closing the distance or attempting a takedown.
The leg kicks began to take their toll, and after two solid shots to the outside of Jadambaa’s lead leg, the opportunity for a finish was clear. The first kick, landing just below the calf, clearly hurt the Mongolian, who tried to retaliate with punches, hoping to push Nguyen back.
However, ‘The Situ-Asian’ smelled blood and capitalized, landing another powerful calf kick that sent Jadambaa retreating toward the fence, dropping his guard in the process.
That’s when Nguyen saw his chance. He launched a flying knee, perfectly connecting with the exposed opponent and sending Jadambaa crashing to the canvas just 67 seconds into the second round.
