ONE heavyweight MMA world champion Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane not only banks on his brute force but also on his uncanny athleticism to get the better of his opponents. He makes sure that he brings them every time he plunges into action.
Such was what he showcased in his dominant second TKO victory over Russian Batradz Gazzaev at ONE 161 in September 2022. The Senegalese fighter was in his A game as he put his opponent in various tough positions, making full use of the athleticism he possesses before closing it out with a destructed show of force with his punches in the second frame to book the win.
ONE Championship relived the fight, from the fiery staredown all the way to the impressive finish, on its official Instagram profile for fans to use as a reference as they await what is next for 'Reug Reug.'

'Reug Reug' is coming off an eventful 2024
There is no word yet on when ONE heavyweight MMA world champion Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane will be back in action, but he enters the new year off an eventful 2024.
The Thiaroye sur Mer native had two matches last year, winning both to further pad his standing as one of the noted fighters in the promotion's 265-pound division.
'Reug Reug' first made short work of fellow Senalese fighter Boucher Ketchup with an opening round knockout win in their heavyweight kickboxing clash at ONE Fight Night 23 in July.
Then, in his next fight in November at ONE 169, he showed a lot of grit as he outlasted erstwhile undefeated Russian Anatoly Malykhin to win by unanimous decision and seize the heavyweight gold.
The accomplishments of 'Reug Reug' has not gone unnoticed back home, where he was greatly celebrated after becoming a ONE world champion.
