ONE Championship recently posted the highlights of Tawanchai PK.Saenchai’s win against Niclas Larsen.
Since losing to Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in August 2021, Tawanchai has been on a phenomenal run. The Thai superstar started by taking out Saemapetch Fairtex via a first-round KO. He returned six months later against Larsen at ONE 158.
Larsen was making his promotional debut at the time, looking to skyrocket his value by defeating Tawanchai. ‘Dreamchaser’ had his dreams crushed as the PK.Saenchai fighter dominated before securing a second-round finish.

Tawanchai’s back-to-back wins secured him a featherweight Muay Thai title shot against Petchmorakot Petchyindee at ONE 161. He came in as a sizable underdog but never lost his confidence.
The 23-year-old pulled off the upset, emerging victorious by unanimous decision. The Thai world champion is now looking to defend his title for the first time at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video.
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai looks to continue building momentum at ONE Fight Night 7
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai’s first title defense will be against Jamal Yusupov, who holds a promotional record of 3-0. The Turkish title challenger is coming off a win against Jo Nattawut, with the hopes of pulling off a massive upset against the reigning featherweight king.
Although Yusupov deserves respect, Tawanchai has recently looked like he could terrorize the featherweight division in 2023. The PK.Saenchai fighter is in his prime and riding a massive wave of momentum. With that said, the Turkish fighter can’t be overlooked.
Tawanchai vs. Yusupov will go down on February 25 at ONE Fight Night 7. The highly-anticipated fight card will be headlined by the bantamweight world championship rematch between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker. The event will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video for free to North American Prime subscribers.
