Israel Adesanya has been vacationing in Tahiti after his disappointing title loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 281.
After holding the middleweight title for three years, Adesanya dropped the belt to his nemesis from his kickboxing days last month. If the fight had gone the distance, the former champion's impressive performance would have guaranteed another ruby on his belt. However, he got caught by Pereira's 'hand of stone' and failed in his conquest of avenging his Glory Kickboxing losses.
'The Last Stylebender' was humble in defeat and has not shown any signs of devastation ever since. He has been vacationing in Tahiti and Mo'orea until he gets back to training.
In his latest social media post, Adesanya showed off his newly-learned surfing skills that he was learning on the trip:

Israel Adesanya spent $150K on vacation from his first million as a champion
In a 2021 interview with GQ Sports, Israel Adesanya listed down how he spent the first million dollars that he earned in the UFC.
He revealed that the first $20-25K went into clothing, jewelry, and tattoos, after which he dropped $500K for his McLaren 720S Spider supercar that he named 'Kurama' after the nine-tailed fox from the anime show Naruto.
The next $150K was spent on a trip back to his homeland Nigeria and a stopover in Dubai.
"I went back to Nigeria, back to the Motherland to connect with my people, connect with the soil, and on the way back, I stopped over in Dubai. That probably cost me about... $150K?... I hadn't had much of a holiday since I've been working all the time, but it was nice to just kind of let my hair down."
Israel Adesanya shared that the highlight of his Dubai trip was the camel-back ride in the desert and visiting the palaces.
