Japanese MMA superstar and ONE atomweight marvel Itsuki Hirata is hard at work on her return at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24. Across the circle from her will be No.2-ranked Ham Seo Hee, an opponent she was supposed to meet at ONE 163 last year.
In a recent video released on ONE Championship's Instagram account, 'Android 18' was seen putting in the hard yards in the gym. From ferociously hitting heavy bags to intense strength and conditioning workouts, Itsuki Hirata is not leaving any stone unturned. Expect to see the Japanese superstar bring her A-game at ONE Fight Night 8.

After losing for the first time in her career at the hands of Jihin Radzuan at ONE X, Hirata bounced back with a strong victory over Lin Heqin at ONE on Prime Video 1. A win over the highly touted Ham will surely catapult 'Android 18' into world title conversations.
After missing weight, Itsuki Hirata grateful for being given a second chance at Ham Seo Hee
Japanese atomweight star Itsuki Hirata will get another crack at Ham Seo Hee after their original bout got canceled in the last minute.
Hirata was supposed to face ‘Hamzzang’ at ONE 163 in November last year but failed the weigh-in and hydration test. Ham did not accept a catchweight bout so as not to let Hirata's shortcomings slide and announced her decision in a well-written Instagram post.
Hirata missed weight by a significant margin and was undeniably disappointed with the fight cancelation. A win over Ham would have put her on the cusp of a world title shot against ONE atomweight world champ Angela Lee.
Hirata was absolutely grateful upon receiving the news that she would once again be given the chance to fight Ham Seo Hee:
“When I got an offer for this fight, I was full of appreciation for everything... I really appreciate ONE Championship giving me a chance again.”
Hopefully this time, 'Android 18' gets the weight and hydration on point as the battle with 'Hamzzang' will surely be an entertaining one to watch. Fans in North America can catch ONE Fight Night 8 on U.S. primetime on March 24 live and for free on Prime Video with an Amazon subscription.
