ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title challenger, Jamal Yusupov, is one of the best strikers you may never have heard of. Although 'Yeniceri' is unknown to casual fans, his greatness is something that shouldn't be ignored. Not anymore.

Jamal Yusupov is a multi-time Russian national kickboxing champion and European kickboxing champion. Upon entering ONE Championship, the Dagestani native boasted a strong record of 51-7 and was fed to the wolves right away. He was tasked to face Muay Thai living legend Yodsanklai in his promotional debut.

Yodsanklai, commonly known as ‘Yod’ to his fans, is a bonafide legend of modern-day Muay Thai. Just a mere mention of his name will send shivers down the spines of fighters. By the time he faced Yusupov, the Thai legend had more than 200 wins and not been knocked out in over 10 years. He also hadn't lost in strict Muay Thai rules in a decade.

Russian kickboxing marvel Jamal Yusupov will fight beyond enemy lines as he'll travel to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok to face Muay Thai's newest prodigy, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai. The Thai world champion will make the first defense of his ONE featherweight Muay Thai belt at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24.

Tawanchai officially broke through the mainstream when he defeated fellow Thai Petchmorakot Petchyindee and ended his dominant rule of the division last year. In doing so, Tawanchai became the undisputed king of ONE featherweight Muay Thai.

For his first world title defense, the 23-year-old marvel will be tested by a streaking Russian, Jamal Yusupov, who is looking to mute the chants of the home crowd at the Lumpinee Stadium. The No.2-ranked Muay Thai kickboxer has been absolutely perfect in his first three bouts under the ONE Championship banner, and is looking to extend his streak further.

ONE Fight Night 7 will air live in US primetime. It will be free for Prime Video users in the United States and Canada on February 24.
