Surging ONE strikers Janet Todd and Jackie Buntan are both preparing for fights, including Todd's atomweight Muay Thai world title unification bout against Allycia Hellen Rodrigues at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.

'JT' secured the interim belt in her last outing, defeating Spain's Lara Fernandes by way of unanimous decision. The 37-year-old is in the midst of a seven-fight unbeaten streak inside the circle, which also includes a win over Stamp Fairtex.

Meanwhile, Jackie Buntan is scheduled to face Australia's Diandra Martin at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video in May — the promotion's first-ever event to be hosted in the United States.

Janet Todd recalls first botched booking with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues

Janet Todd was originally supposed to face Allycia Hellen Rodrigues last December. However, the American came down with COVID-19, forcing her out of the bout.

She recalled the dealings in an interview with ONE, saying:

“I remember bawling my eyes out. And I was just in shock. I didn't believe it. Because the last time I had COVID, I had the body pains fever, and I didn't have any of that. It was just like a stuffy nose, which I thought were allergies, because we were staying at a casino where there's cigarette smoke that I'm not used to.”

'JT' has the chance to finally become the undisputed atomweight Muay Thai world champion at ONE Fight Night 8. Her opponent hasn't competed since her title-winning performance against Stamp Fairtex back in August 2020. Todd has made three appearances inside the circle since the Brazilian's last bout.
