WATCH: Japanese megastar Takeru revels in gutsy comeback win over Burmese rising star Thant Zin at ONE Friday Fights 81

Japanese kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa earned his first victory in ONE Championship at ONE Friday Fights 81 this past Friday, Sept. 27, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with a spectacular second-round knockout of Thant Zin.

Though 'The Natural Born Crusher' suffered a knockdown late in the first round, Takeru responded by knocking down the 19-year-old in the second round with his patented front kick to the body, He then earned the win with a left hook to the temple.

The Team Vasileus star could not have had a better sophomore outing under the ONE banner after earning immense fan support in his promotional debut defeat at ONE 165 this past January against double-champ Superlek Kiatmoo9 for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship.

In the post-fight interview, Takeru called out ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon to a super fight, which the Thai hero eagerly accepted.

Chatri Sityodtong confirms Rodtang and Takeru have signed bout agreements

ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed during the virtual press conference ahead of ONE Friday Fights 81 that Rodtang and Takeru will be fighting each other next.

He said during the call:

"Actually, Takeru and Rodtang are so calm, they've already signed bout agreements. They're ready to go. They're ready to face each other, but I wouldn't count their chickens before they hatch, right? They've got some tough fights ahead, but yes, they're ready to go. They've both agreed and signed to fight each other as their next fight."
