Current ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks was welcomed by Filipino MMA star Lito Adiwang in ONE Championship in November 2021 at ONE: NextGen III card, which went down inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Highlights of this maiden promotional outing by Brooks were published by ONE Championship on their Instagram account, and they wrote its caption with:

'The Monkey God' weathered the striking masterclass of 'The Thunder Kid' in the opening round and imposed his superior grappling skills against him, especially in the second round.

Brooks even flaunted his power by picking up Adiwang and slamming him down the canvas. From there, he worked his way into an arm-triangle choke finish that forced a tap out of the Baguio native for the second-round finish.

This successful first outing for the American MMA star has laid down the foundations for his success in the weight class, as he went on to capture the 26-pound golden belt.

Jarred Brooks revealed the main reason why he wanted to fight Reece McLaren

Brooks will now make his debut at flyweight while waiting for the unification match at strawweight, the Mash Fight Team representative will test his skills against Reece McLaren on Dec. 6 at ONE Fight Night 26.

Ahead of this thrilling match, which emanates from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the 31-year-old MMA superstar shared the primary reason why he wants to fight the Aussie contender during his interview with The Bangkok Post, as he stated:

"No rush man. If anything, I feel like Reece McLaren deserved a tite shot a long long time ago. That's one of the reasons, but the main reason why I wanted to fight Reece McLaren is because he thinks I am unworthy. And you think I'm unworthy, you're going to find real quick that I am not just a small guy, bro."

ONE Fight Night 26 goes down inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Dec. 6, and North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription can watch all the action live and for free.
