Former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker made a successful Muay Thai debut last month at ONE 168: Denver when he knocked out American contender Asa Ten Pow in front of the Ball Arena crowd in Colorado. The fight was reposted by ONE Championship in a recent video. In the caption, they wrote:
""Hands of Stone" is ready to lay 'em on Alexey Balyko 👊 Can John Lineker secure his second straight Muay Thai win this Friday at ONE Fight Night 25 on @primevideo? @johnlinekermma"
Less than two a month after that top-tier performance, where he fully displayed his power, 'Hands of Stone' will compete in his second 'Art of Eight Limbs' match on Oct. 4 at ONE Fight Night 25, as he takes on Russian athlete Alexey Balyko in a bantamweight Muay Thai contest.

John Lineker expects a firefight with Alexey Balyko on Oct. 4 because of their similar fighting style
Before they throw hands inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the American Top Team representative spoke to ONE Championship in a recent interview.
He forecasts an exciting match with the Tiger Muay Thai-affiliated athlete because of their similar fighting styles. The 34-year-old knockout artist said:
"From what little I've seen, and what I've studied of his game, he's a guy who uses boxing more, just like me. In my last fight, I used boxing more, and very few kicks and elbows. I saw that he likes this same style. He likes to go for striking, and even uses kicks, but very little. So, I see it as a fight between two athletes with very similar fighting styles. There will definitely be sparks."
ONE Fight Night 25 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America on Oct. 4 during U.S. primetime.
